Take N6 in direction of Dublin. After Loughrea bypass, turn right onto N65 towards Portumna.
In Portumna take a left at the T-junction. Drive through town and take a left turn onto R489 after crossing the Shannon River.
At Riverstown turn left onto N52 and at T-junction, either turn left onto N62 for Birr and Kinnitty or turn right for Roscrea and Mountrath:

Turn left onto N62 and in Birr follow signs for R440 in direction of Kinnitty. Drive through Kinnitty village and then take a right turn following signs for
Slieve Bloom and Mountrath staying on R440. Roundwood House is on the right 5km before you reach Mountrath.
Turn right onto N62 in direction of Roscrea. In Roscrea take N7 in direction of Dublin to Mountrath.
Continue up Main Street going straight at traffic lights onto R423 and then take an immediate left onto R440 in direction of Kinnitty.
Roundwood is 5km on left on R440
